To equip personnel working in retail and/or non-retail food establishments with the knowledge and application skills to:
- Develop and implement HACCP based Food Safety Management System according to HACCP principles
- Carry out internal audit to ensure food safety programmes are compliant with local and international standards for HACCP/FSMS and applicable SFA Regulations
- Manage and address non-compliance issues based on Food Safety Management System (FSMS) policies and procedures.
This programme is designed for personnel in supervisory job roles which involves establishing and overseeing food safety standards in their food establishments. This training equips participants with occupational knowledge and skills in applying Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) principles to develop, implement, maintain and update a HACCP-based Food Safety Management System (FSMS). This training also provides participants with knowledge and skills to perform internal audits of FSMS and manage and address non-compliances.

Union Training Assistance Programme (UTAP)

ONLY STUDENTS INTENDING TO JOIN THE F&B INDUSTRY ARE ENTITLED TO COURSE FEE SUBSIDIES FROM SSG.
Target Audiences:
Food Hygiene Officers, Supervisors, Food Establishment Owners, Regulatory Officers/ Enforces, QA/QC Managers, Chefs, Managements (PMETs)
Entry Requirements:
- Completed Conduct Food and Beverage Hygiene Officer / Food safety course level 3 and with valid WSQ certificate. (Please upload the valid certificate when registering under the upload cert portion)
- Individuals are required to source a food establishment set-up for drawing up of Food Safety Course Level 4 (FSCL4) plan and on-site practical assessment at a licensed F&B establishment OR a mock up kitchen. On the first day of course, the trainer will request for the establishment details & venue location. The trainer will then plan a timeslot to head down to the venue for the practical assessment. This will be conducted within 2 months after course end date.
- Participants will be required to have the ability to converse, read & write in English
- Education : Minimum Lower Secondary education or WPLN level 4
With valid reason (documentary proof required) for less than 75% attendance, trainee can be transferred to the next run, subject to availability of seats at ACI's discretion. This request must be submitted within 5 working days from the missed class date, after which paid course fee will be forfeited. Transfer to the next class is only valid for 4 months or until 1 Feb, whichever is earlier, after which, the paid fee will be forfeited.
If trainee missed Day 1 of class, they will not be allowed to attend remaining sessions (applicable for short courses only).
Trainee will not be allowed to continue with the course once there is no valid reason for absenteeism, at any point during the course. Paid fees will be forfeited.
NB: To enjoy SkillsFuture funding, trainees must achieve 75% attendance and be rated Competent in assessment.
